All available information on U-1 sheets are entered and used to perform API calculations on the item selected. An equipment inventory is entered showing the type of material and corresponding stress values.

Any material listed in Part two Section D in API-510 can be selected, along with Table A-1 in ASME.B.31.3 according to temperature. For API-653 tanks, calculations can be performed using default values if none are known.
